Cornerstone Advertising is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our expanding marketing and advertising experts team. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement innovative email strategies designed to drive customer engagement, revenue growth, and brand loyalty. You’ll collaborate closely with clients to create effective segmentation strategies and utilize advanced tools and tactics to optimize performance across diverse audience segments. Your keen eye for design, strong copywriting skills, and deep understanding of email marketing trends will position you as a vital resource for our clients and our team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Leverage email marketing strategies to identify competitive advantages and ensure operational excellence, driving growth for our clients in today’s fast-paced market.
- End-to-end Execution: Take ownership of all email marketing programs, managing everything from design and development to audience segmentation, scheduling, testing, approvals, and comprehensive reporting.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with production teams to ensure timely project delivery, collaborating with clients and account managers to define campaign direction and with designers to align on creative style.
- Goal Alignment: Partner with clients and the account management team to establish clear email marketing goals and measurable KPIs that align with overall business objectives.
- Data-Driven Testing: Utilize insights from client data to implement continuous testing strategies (e.g., subject lines, layouts, formats, and frequency) to enhance user engagement and performance.
- Campaign Optimization: Regularly monitor, analyze, and refine email campaigns to maximize ROI, focusing on reducing bounce rates and improving open and click-through rates.
- Innovative Solutions: Foster a culture of innovation by identifying new opportunities to enhance click/open rates and exploring ways to repurpose existing content for a more significant impact.
- Analytics and Reporting: Provide clients with detailed campaign performance reports, utilizing data to inform and drive strategic marketing decisions.
- Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a monthly email content and promotional calendar for all clients to ensure consistency and strategic alignment.
- Brand Consistency: Uphold brand standards across all email communications, ensuring a cohesive brand experience for customers.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Be open to learning new methods and adjusting priorities as needed in response to evolving business needs, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a Marketing or Business major is preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant email marketing experience with a proven track record of managing high-volume email campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for customer-facing content.
- Proficiency in translating analytical data into actionable strategic insights.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, direct marketing principles, and email best practices.
- Experience managing large subscriber databases.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and email marketing platforms like MailChimp, Constant Contact, Service Titan Marketing Pro, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Basic coding skills in HTML and CSS for responsive email design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and digital media dashboards (e.g., Google Ads).
Working Conditions
The position is entirely remote, and standard hours of work and days are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Activities include:
- Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.
- The ability to communicate orally with clients, candidates, management, and coworkers, both individually and in front of a group, is crucial.
- Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for everyday conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
- It requires good manual dexterity when using standard office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copier/scanners).
- No heavy lifting is expected; exertion up to 30 lbs. of force (e.g., tablet, laptop, computers, office supplies) may occasionally be required.
- The employee is required to bend and stoop.
